Advice for clinicians: Puberty Suppressing Hormones
Posted on:
The UK Government introduced emergency restrictions on the sale and supply of Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues (GnRH analogues) commonly referred to as puberty suppressing hormones or puberty blockers when they are used to suppress puberty as part of treating gender incongruence or gender dysphoria in children and young people under 18. This letter provides advice to clinicians about the restrictions on puberty suppressing hormones.
Please note currently restrictions apply until 31 December 2024 and subject to change.
