Shingles Vaccination Programme 2024/25 – Data Issue CQRS

Posted on:

We would like to inform you of an issue identified when testing the first data extraction for the Shingles Vaccination Programme 2024/25.

Issue Summary:

There are some rare instances where vaccinations of patients who have received a Zostavax vaccine outside of the programme and then gone on to have further Zostavax vaccinations before receiving a Shingrix vaccination within the programme may not be accurately captured. This could affect payment calculations for these specific cases.

Investigating this issue has also resulted in a delay to the October data collection which will result in a delay making payments for September’s activity. This delay is estimated to be 3 – 4 weeks should no further issues be found during testing.

Action Required:

  • Commissioners are requested to inform practices of this issue and the delay in payment for September’s activity.
  • Practices should review their records before declaration each month and submit a claim to their commissioner if they feel eligible activity has not been captured.

We are working towards resolving this issue for the 2025/26 programme to prevent future discrepancies.

The London Imms Team will contact you again when we have received a further updated form the team.
