TQuest Sampler

TQuest sampler is a tool that can be used by sites where TQuest requests requested from primary care can be viewed (or printed) if required.

Several sites across NEL already have this in place but there is consideration that needs to be taken before implementing and using this solution.

TQuest sampler uses a web access portal with credentials provided by the local lab.

Set Up
– Contact the lab to obtain credentials for TQuest Sampler by emailing bhnt.pathologyit@nhs.net
– Each individual user should have an individualised login
– Ensure that you have sufficient testing of the solution before go live
– Admin support may be required if you also need to look up the test request and / or print the request (allow an extra 4-5 minutes per patient for this)
– The most time efficient process for the phlebotomy site would be if the patient attends with a form pre-printed on sticker labels
– PCNs / federations need to ensure that phlebotomy sites are set up to view / print with adequate admin support

Process
This is the process which should be followed:
– GP requests pathology blood test
– Patient travels to phlebotomy site with / without form
– Phlebotomy site log on to TQuest sampler through browser with credentials and can view request and / or print out request if required
– Print out if required through local printer (similar to GP practice through manual tray)
– Sample sent to lab
– Result returns to requesting clinician

Ongoing logistics
– Support for software provided by lab via bhnt.pathologyit@nhs.net
– A separate process needs to be put in to place for test requesting from secondary care (via Cerner)

This website is for healthcare professions only.

It is not for public use.
